Dunluce Castle (1513) is now a ruin. It is sitting in the very edge of the cliff. You can get to the castle by bridge, leading from the mainland.

We had a short stop to take a picture, it was so heavy rain that we even did not get out of the bus. My brief glance to the castle could not get my attention to it as much.
The story did.

It is believed that the castle is haunted. One of the children of the McQuillan family, to whom the castle belonged, claimed that he saw a woman in white dress at the very edge of the cliff, which later disappeared. Few people saw the woman later on.

When Dunluce Castle belonged to Clan MacDonnell, during a big party the kitchen has collapsed to the sea, carrying all the members of the stuff with it. By the legend one little boy has survived, he was sitting in the corner of the part that did not collapse.

No one has lived in the castle since.
