My friend Bahia Haddam, an artist from Canada how is residing at the AIRY art residency in Japan with me, and I went for one day to Tokyo for the art conference at the Tokyo University of the Arts.

Before the conference started we spent some time walking around the University and looking at the studios. At the building that we were in there are 7 floors of studios, painting, printmaking and Japanese traditional painting. It was very interesting walking around and see creative spaces. Lower floors were occupied by the group studios of the beginning grades and as it was going higher floor by floor there were more and more large private studios, perhaps for no more then 3 artists.

I would like to post pictures of those studios for you, as it is always interesting to enter the creative space.

This is a beautiful view to the Tokyo city one can see from the studios on the top 7th floor if she/he made it to the last grade.
