On the edge of the beautiful fairytale city of Salzburg, sits an old mill. Now it is a gallery and printmaking studio, called NEUHAUSER KUNSTMÜHLE
GALERIE UND DRUCKWERKSTATT (gallery and printmaking studio). In this gallery on the March 21st was open my first solo show in Austria. Charming building with white walls and wooden floors has welcomed my large scale watercolor works. There are 20 of my works displayed for almost 3 month.
Dates of the show: March 21 – June 13, 2014
There were many guests during the opening. I have given a short speech, inviting our guests for a journey to the space, through my works. I have reminded that everybody present is a little part of the infinite universe and encouraged to travel through the space and time to imagine unimaginable.
I have started to work on this series of works past year, during which I have studied some astronomy and visited few observatories in Japan and America. I am learning also some physics, chemistry and electronics, and I realize more and more that my job is not only to paint, but implement science into the final work.
At the show you can see many space paintings, and few landscapes, some of them were painted 1,5 years ago at the art residency in Neuhauser Kunstmuehle.
A lot of attention attracted my new pieces with electric lights. This is my first try to make a 3D painting of space. These works push my paintings into a new dimension, helping to apprehend the depth of the space.
